74 of Tampa FL went to her final destination of her everlasting home in Heaven on January 22, 2024.
She was surrounded by her family as she went into the loving arms of Jesus. Born August 11th, 1949 in Tampa, FL to the late E. Bruce and Barbara S. Taylor.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Arthur "Butch" Kemp; Parents E. Bruce and Barbara Taylor; Son, David Kemp; Grandson, Matthew Dotson and Brother, E. Bruce Taylor III.
Debbie graduated from H.B. Plant High School and married her Jr. High School sweetheart Butch in June 1967. They had two children, Barbara and David. Debbie was a stay at home mom and a huge supporter of her husband who was in the Marine Reserves 4th AsltPhiBn for 22 years in Tampa and called to active service for 18 months in Operation Desert Storm.
Debbie loved spending time with her family and making memories with her grandchildren. These countless moments earned her the title of “Best Gobbs and Grandma EVER”. She enjoyed her Bible study group and watching movies. Enjoyed shopping, lunches and being with her "girls". She was always there at a drop of a hat for anything her family or friends needed. She was truly one of the most kindness, compassionate and considerate humans that walked this Earth.
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Ephesians 5:2.
Her love for Jesus started at a very early age. In her adult years she taught VBS, Sunday School and volunteered for many church related events.
Debbie was a true example of agape love that God expects us to show others. She forgave quickly, selflessly met the needs of others, shared that Jesus died for our sins on the cross, loved on others with her actions and shared Godly wisdom.
Proverbs 31:26-31
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to everyone who prayed, provided love and support.
Our family is forever grateful for the kindness that has been poured out over us.
Extra special thank you to the friends and family who assisted us during the past several months with Debbie's care, hospital stays and being an advocate for her. Laurie George, Kathy Gaskill Megan Dotson and Crystal Kemp were angels and we could not have done it without them.
