

Born April 21, 1938, in New York, New York, he was the son of Frank and Mary Friscia.
He transferred from Pensacola, Florida, to Clearwater, Florida, in 1972 to become the merchandise manager of Gayfers Department Store at Clearwater Mall. Due to his legal blindness, he transitioned from Gayfer’s to become a member of the first deaconate graduating class for the Catholic Church, Diocese of St. Petersburg, in 1987. He became a deacon at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Florida, where he organized the RCIA and various other organizations within the church. He remained an active deacon up until around 2024.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Victoria “Vicky” Friscia; his five children, Marie Spence (Tim), Frank Friscia (Melanee), Dominic Friscia, Jr., Edward Friscia (Gena), and Stacey Cavaliere (John); along with nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home.
A viewing will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Florida, with a reception to follow in the church social hall after the funeral.
