Donald Kinkle

Don, the son of the late Otto and Mary Elizabeth Kinkle, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2024. Born January 23, 1929, in Lima, Ohio. Don graduated from South High School in 1947. He joined the army in January 1948.. During the Korean War, Don was an instructor pilot at the Army Aviation School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, following which he served in Korea from September 1953 until October 1954. During the Vietnam War, he was stationed at Long Binh, Vietnam from September 1968 until September 1969.. He retired from the service in November 1972.

He was predeceased by his wife of fifty-six years, Theresa McCoy Price, an infant daughter, Cheryl Rose, six brothers and one sister.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Johansen of Clearwater, Florida, and her three children: sons Lee and Chris and daughter Ashlee. Kathy Kinkle of Clearwater, Florida, and her two sons, Cody and Casey. He is also survived by Lee's three children, Leland, Caden and Avery, and Chris's wife Jamie and daughter's Summer and Alexis.

A visitation for Donald will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759. A Reception will be held after the committal service at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home
