Daughter of John and Cindy Halas, Doris was born in Germany and spent her youth as an Army brat moving across the country from Hawaii to Georgia, eventually settling outside of Richmond, VA in her 20s where she met her husband Tom and lived for over 30 years. In 2005, Doris and Tom moved to Tampa, FL to enjoy countless walks on the beach, sunshine and baseball games.
Doris loved to travel and in retirement traveled across the world to include New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii and all over Europe with her husband Tom. She also loved to dance, listen to oldies music, spoil her grandsons, Starbucks and spending time with friends.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Doris would tell you to take the trip, treat a friend to Starbucks, buy the shoes!
