Doris was born on July 17, 1946, in Jersey City, NJ. Doris thoroughly enjoyed taking cruises, playing bingo and spending time with her loving family. She retired 2 years ago, from the Pinellas County Property Appraiser’s office, where she worked for 33 years and acquired many wonderful friends along the way.
Doris was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, John Filko. She is survived by her mother, Doris Pearson, daughter Cindy (Kevin) Walz, daughter Nancy (Spiro) Giannas, and two grandchildren Isabella and Grant.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 21st at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL from 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
