

Doris “Dee” Hogan, 82, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Pinellas Park, Florida. Born in Meriden, Connecticut where she lived for over 60 years, Dee resided in Largo, Florida for the past 21 years after her retirement from the Meriden Public Library. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Hogan for 63 years and raised her three children in Meriden, Connecticut. Dee was employed by the City of Meriden, Meriden Public Library for over 20 years.
Dee was a long-time parishioner of Holy Angels Catholic Church in South Meriden, Connecticut before moving to Florida. More recently she was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. During her time as a parishioner of Holy Angels Church she was actively involved in many activities and events in the parish. Dee loved to read and was a frequent visitor to the local library. In addition to reading, Dee played golf, enjoyed walking on a warm sunny day and loved time spent with her family and friends

In addition to her loving husband Joseph, Dee is survived by her three children: Susan Plunske and her husband Todd of Ft. White, Florida; Maureen Mosca and her husband Ronald of Goshen, Connecticut; Peter Hogan and his wife Alyse of South Meriden, Connecticut. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Christopher, Shawn and Matthew Roy; Faith Dickens and her husband David; Steven and Caitlin Mosca; as well as three great-grandchildren: Jayden Roy, Isabelle Roy and Jacob Dickens. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Caroline Bruton, several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her sister, Edna Ege.
Arrangements are under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Clearwater, FL with services in Connecticut to be handled by John J Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main Street, South Meriden, CT. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to a local Hospice facility.
