
PALM HARBOR, Fla. -Doris Jean Pearse, 99, of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of Bowling Green, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor, Florida, after a brief illness.
Born in Lakewood, Ohio, in November 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Eisele, and Irene Sophia (Beuhrig) Eisele. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Virginia Eisele.
Doris was married to Richard L. Pearse, MD, on August 23, 1952. He also preceded her in death.
Doris was a graduate of the Andrews School for Girls (now known as Andrews Osborne Academy). Willoughby, Ohio, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She attended the Presbyterian Church of Palm Harbor, and served as an elder of that congregation. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and spending time with her family and pets.
She is survived by three children, Richard L. Pearse, Jr., of Dunedin, Florida, David B. Pearse, MD, of Ellicott City, Maryland, and Nancy Pearse Lee, of Annandale,Virginia, six grandchildren, Caitlin L. Pearse, of Tampa, Florida, Emily E. Pearse, of Atlanta, Georgia, Marina Pearse Jackson (Jelani), of Hershey, Pennsylvania, Alexander J. Pearse,of Seattle, Washington, Hannah M. Hillenburg-Pearse (Haley), of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, Amanda G. Lee, of Annandale, Virginia, and three great grandchildren, Cameron Jackson, of Hershey, Pennsylvania and Gwendolynn and Levi Hillenburg, both of Palmyra, Pennsylvania.
A Memorial service will take place at St. Mark Village, Palm Harbor, Florida, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with St. Mark chaplin Rev. Bill Magee officiating. Light refreshments will be served after the memorial service.
Inurnment will be at Sylvan Abbey cemetery in Clearwater, Florida.
