Our mom Doris Loretta Vincent passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024. Mom will be remembered for her kindness, grace, compassion, and love of family-especially her children and grandchildren. She was a source of strength through our lives and our soft place to fall.
Doris’s life was centered on her family. She worked alongside her husband Edward Vincent before his death raising their family and operating their businesses. She enjoyed children and was a foster mother to dozens of kids of all ages.
Doris was always up for an adventure. It didn’t matter where – and you didn’t have to ask twice. She was a constant companion to all of her children. She was the ultimate babysitter and puzzle maker. She loved playing board games with her children and grandchildren.
Doris was born in Norwich, CT to William and Ida Hitt. She was one of nine children. Throughout her life, she lived in MA, CA, FL and her final residence was Myrtle Beach, SC.
She is survived by her children Karen Daviau and her husband George, Kyle Vincent and his wife Lynne, Kathleen Gaspari and her husband Tom, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Germaine and her husband, Sonny, Kristina Marn and her husband, Travis, Katie Skiba and her husband, Stephen Clegg, Kasey Vincent and his fiancé, Natalie, Kimberly Barker and her husband Nick, and Kody Vincent, her great grandchildren, Karson Vincent and Amarah Barker, her sisters Patricia Wright, Shirley Carvalho and her sister-in-law Sharon Hitt, her nephew, Gary Cooper, and nieces Donna Larosa, and Patty Pinto. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Francis, and grandson, Cameron Moquin.
She will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace our dear sweet mother.
