Biography

Dottie was an exceptional person - I know, I'm her surviving son. She accomplished more than average and I was always very proud of her business and zest for life savvy. Mom decided after being the owner of successful Beauty Salons in New Jersey, to attend college as an adult married mother of 2 and she did it and graduated from Jersey City College. Congratulations Mom.

Mom lost her daughter at the age of 28. The death certificate had the words "wrongful death" stamped on it. Her daughter Debbie experienced medical malpractice when a doctor was inserting a needle into her lungs for a simple biopsy to extract fluid for pneumonia and missed her lungs, punctured her aorta five (5) times causing Debbie to die hours later from internal bleeding. That was a very trying time - death is one thing, but medical malpractice and at such a young age makes no sense. Mom loved her son-in-law to her dying day and after watching him suffer the loss of his wife, [my sister and Moms daughter], a year later Mom decided his suffering was enough and she introduced him to his new wife and became the adopted mom to him, his wife and the grandma to his children. Amazing.

She was in charge of all aspects of her life and health and maintained all her faculties, conducting all physical activities as normal until her last week, when her COPD was diagnosed as end of life. I was shocked when on Friday, April 5th, 2019, she gave her dogs up to be adopted. Those 2 doggies, Raz and Taz, were her joy in her later years of life and I knew when she gave them up, we were near the end. The next day, Saturday Mom entered Hospice and fell into unconsciousness the next day after admission. She was comfortable, breathing peacefully and in no pain until her passing Wednesday morning at 4am.

I will be building this site for her friends and family to view and celebrate her life. Thank you for viewing and please come back as we add stories and images.

Frank -Dotties son.
