Doug Andersen, 71, was born in Racine, Wisconsin, lived in New Hope and Eden Prairie Minnesota and Palm Harbor, Florida. An avid golfer, playmate to his dog, Jack, and lover of life, Doug moved easily between the lakes of Minnesota to the beaches of Florida with an occasional ski stop in Colorado or wine tour in California. Doug led with his heart, listened intently, and laughed often. He loved good food and fine wine shared with his life partner, Laurie Valdesuso, his cherished daughters Lyndsey Andersen and Alicia Andersen, and Laurie’s daughter Angela. Doug served in the US Army in the early 1970’s, completed his degree at the University of Wisconsin and most recently worked with A-1 Contract Staffing, Inc. in Tampa Florida.
He is preceded in death by his mother Doris Jacobson Andersen and his father Andy Arnold Andersen. He is survived by Laurie, Angela, Lyndsey (Jeff), Alicia, and former spouse Julie Collins Andersen, and his 4 siblings: Sharon Green (William, dec.), Richard Andersen (Helaine), Julie Andersen (Liz Beerman), and Gloria Dewey (John).
