

Elaine B. Strobel, a resident of Hudson, Florida, passed away Tuesday, June 7th at the age of 73. She was born to Armand and Cecile Dansereau in Holyoke, MA on July 3, 1942 and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1960. She was married to Leonard W. Kosiba, also of Holyoke, from 1962 to 1978 and had two children. She was remarried in 1980 to John G. Strobel, an Army and Air Force veteran who preceded her in death in 2010. Upon John’s retirement, they moved to Hudson, FL in 1987. While in Hudson, Elaine worked for the Pasco County Government in the Library System, Personnel Department, and the Office of Management and Budget, retiring in 2001. Elaine is survived by a daughter, Carrie Kosiba; a son, Jeffrey Kosiba; a daughter-in-law, Irina Erenburg; three grandchildren; Sophia, Simon and Eren Kosiba. She is also survived by two of Mr. Strobel’s children; Susan Garrow and Jake Strobel; a granddaughter, Emily Garrow; and 3 grandsons, John Patrick, Jeffrey and Jonathan Strobel. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents. Elaine was known for her warmth, generosity and her love of dogs, food, music and travel. Elaine’s ashes will be interred alongside those of her late husband John at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Tuesday, July 12 at 1oam. Guests attending the memorial service are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the allotted time.
