I always loved the visits from Ethel and my cousin Hugh. Early days at grandfathers, Palos Verdes with Uncle Mac, Rancho Bernardo with their Aunt Dusty (Swift) and after mom died I finally got to spend a Thanksgiving with my Swift family! What a highlight sharing time and learning things about the family.

After 29 wonderful years of friendship, we could go on FOREVER! We met Hugh & Ethel as boaters and the friendship was instant. Ethel's smile could light up a room. She and Hugh are the kind of friends you could search for your whole life and rarely find. We went camping, boating, took trips together and enjoyed every moment. Occasionally, a wallet would get misplaced; but Hugh knows that story all too well! 😂 We will dearly miss Ethel and the important part she played in our lives! Some people make a difference. SHE DID!

I/we cannot express the sadness of the loss of such a special friend. Everything about Ethel will remain one of our greatest treasures. We have 29 yrs of memories to hold dear.
