Florence Marion Berry “Mare”, age 52 of Largo, Florida lost her battle to pancreatic cancer on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at home. Marion was an active animal advocate and volunteered for many animal rescues, as well as caring for her own three rescue animals; Volcom (cat), Frankie and Buck (dogs). Her favorite place to be in the world was on her deck, where she enjoyed the beautiful live oaks and natural landscape. Marion loved life and spending time with close friends and extended family. She was a very strong, outgoing woman, who would strike up a conversation with anybody and always had the biggest smile on her face. Marion will be terribly missed by her daughter, Christina; her stepdad, Jim (PopPop); her siblings, Laura and Virgil; her niece and nephew, Nicole and Marcus. Once you were a part of her family, you were a part of it forever, so she will also be mourned by the Berry’s; Ed, Sharon, Ellis, and Shirley. Countless more close friends and family will always miss her bright presence in their lives. In lieu of flowers, Mare wanted donations made in her honor to animal rescue organizations such as Pit Bull Happenings Rescue, ASPCA, etc. The memorial service will be held outside at Sylvan Abbey’s Garden of Reflection at 3pm Saturday, April 23, 2016. A celebration of life will follow the service.
