Floyd Michael McKenzie

Floyd (“Mac”) M. McKenzie, 81, Hudson, FL was called home to the Lord on Saturday, Feb 24, 2024. Floyd is survived by his Daughters, Tamara McKenzie-Fields (Thomas) and Shannon Sprinkle (Brian) and his Son, Floyd M. McKenzie Jr (Melissa), and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Floyd got his start as an entrepreneur at 16, opening his first pizza business in Ohio. Throughout his life, he owned numerous businesses and held investments in real estate. He was a devoted husband to Ruby McKenzie for 53 years. and longed to be with her again following her death in 2022. Floyd was a devoted Dad, sacrificing for his children to provide a wonderful home and opportunities he did not have growing up. He taught his children the true meaning of work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.

In Floyd’s younger years, he enjoyed flying his Cessna, riding horses, and farming. As he and Ruby aged, they enjoyed traveling to casinos across the country.

Floyd’s life will be celebrated at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park (2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759) on March 3, 2024. Visitation: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.; Service begins at 1:00 p.m.

The family welcomes flowers or memorial contributions to St Jude Children's Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
