Francis A Lombardo was born in New Castle, PA on July 6, 1922. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific. Upon returning home, he met and married Marie R Segalla and moved to Levittown, PA where they raised their daughters. Francis went on to have a successful career with US Steel until he retired in 1984. Francis and Marie moved to Florida where they enjoyed being near their daughters, Bonnie and Nanette and watching their grandchildren grow up. Francis loved the beautiful FL weather, finding shells at the beach, playing golf and cards and joining the Italian American Club of Clearwater where he loved playing Bocce ball and making many friends. Francis survived by his daughters Betsy, Bonnie, and Nanette and his six grandchildren. Francis passed away peacefully at home with his daughter Nanette and son in law Rusty at the age of 102.
A graveside service will be held at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park at 2860 Sunset Point Road Clearwater on Thursday January 23, 2025 at 11:00am with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
