Gaetano “Guy” Giocondo Carosa passed away peacefully, held in the loving presence of his devoted wife and family. To those who knew him, Guy was a steady light—quietly strong, endlessly loyal, and guided by a heart that always put family first.
Born with a deep sense of duty and service, Guy lived his life with purpose. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, then continued a lifelong commitment to protecting others through his work with the New York Police Department. He later continued his service with the Clearwater Airport Police Department, where he brought the same humility, honor, and steadfast integrity that defined his entire career.
At home, he was the rock of his family. For 60 beautiful years, he shared an enduring love with his beloved wife, Rose, a partnership built on faith, laughter, and quiet devotion. He leaves behind his son Guy, daughter-in-law Savella, and his treasured granddaughters Angeliki and Rosie, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his son Thomas and Thomas’s long-term partner, Michelle Lang, as well as his sister Rosina, who held a special place in his heart.
Guy is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Rosetta, with whom he is now reunited in peace.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Guy will remember his gentle spirit, his steady presence, and the way he made others feel safe and cared for without ever asking for recognition. His legacy lives on not only in the stories his family will cherish, but in the quiet acts of service that defined his life.
He will be missed more deeply than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Guy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—a cause he believed in and supported.
