George Borsh

BORSH, George, 96, of Dunedin, FL died June 16, 2014. George was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 29, 1917 to Andrew and Anna (Harbula) Borsh.He served in the US Marine Corp during WW II. Before retirement he was the Lead Forman of the Weld Shop for LTV Steel, Pittsburgh. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Dunedin and was an avid golfer and sports fan. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. George was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna, sisters, Mary Steese, Helen Yalch, Anna Rehak, Bertha D’Amico and Margaret Blank and brother, Andrew Borsh, all of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Eleanore; son, Ronald (Marti) Borsh, Dunedin, FL ; daughter, Donna (Ken) Cowden, Oldsmar, FL; grandchildren, Joel (Megan) Borsh and Nathaniel Borsh, both of Pittsburgh and Noah (Heather) Borsh, Arizona and great grandchildren, Trevor Gamble, Emma Borsh and Connor Borsh, all of Pittsburgh. George’s family asks that any donations be made directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. “We were put on this earth to help one another and to encourage and be uplifting to others, not to ever tear them down or apart.”
