George J. Heidt Jr. of Dunedin, FL - Surrounded by his loving family, George died Thursday September 3, 2015 at the age of 77. His family and friends adored George, and he has left an indelible mark on those whose lives he has touched. He will be forever remembered for his strong will, wonderful sense of humor and amazing intellect. George worked for Eastman Kodak until he retired in 1990. His career culminated in managing the design and manufacturing of several of Kodak’s popular cameras. He left Rochester NY shortly thereafter to begin the second stage of his life in Clearwater FL. He loved golf, bowling, and fishing. He was a loving companion, husband, father, grandfather and friend. George leaves his children George, Alex, James, Dawn; step-children Laurie, Cherie, Michele, and Mark; grandchildren, Kristina, Stephanie, Ryan, Joey, Corinne, Kyle, Tyler, Erin, Alexis, Kevin, Elliot, Casey, Nicole, Ryan, and Matthew; his long time companion Roberta; his adopted family of Larry, Gary, and Jen; and many friends. His parents George and Hilda Heidt, his brother Bernard, and his wife Patricia predecease him. George will be interred at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and funeral home in Clearwater.
