Guy L. Kennedy Jr.

Lifetime Clearwater resident, Guy L. Kennedy, Jr. passed away on July 22, 2011. Guy was born in Morton Plant Hospital in 1927. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 29 years; his sons Craig (Anna) and two grandchildren, London, UK; Todd Kennedy, Charlotte, NC, and his brother, Hayes (Susan) Kennedy of Clearwater. He is pre-deceased by his parents Guy L. Kennedy, Sr. and Jennie G. Kennedy, and his sister, Jennie Caulkins.

Guy served for two years in the Navy, and subsequently served as a Captain in the Air Force Reserve. He worked for his father at Kennedy Strickland Ford, before earning his law and business degrees with honors from the University of Florida. He practiced law in Clearwater for about 40 years. Active in the community, he belonged to the Springtime City Kiwanis Club, served as Assistant City Attorney, was President of The Clearwater Bar Association and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater on Sat. July 30, at 3pm with the family to receive friends at 2pm. Memorial Donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice or Calvary Baptist Church of Clearwater.
