Harold is survived by his Wife of 45 years; Jorja Daniels, Daughter, and Son-in-Law;
Teresa and John Joiner, Son and Daughter-in-Law; Hal and Andrea Daniels, four
Grandchildren; James (Natalie), Collin (Christina), Cortni, and Alexis (Allen) and
five Great Grandchildren; Zachary, Aiden, Joey, Isabella, and Henry.
Harold was a devoted Husband and loving Father who was born on August 21, 1937
in Union, NY. He moved to Florida at a very early age and readily adopted Florida as
his home state. Harold graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1955 and then
after high school, he enlisted and served approximately 3 years in Army
Intelligence, primarily in Alaska.
Harold greatly enjoyed learning and valued education so after his military service
he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Florida and then later
in life received a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of
South Florida.
Even though Harold held various jobs throughout his working life he began his
a professional career with the Hillsborough County Public School District as a teacher
at Plant High School and ended his professional life by running the Medicaid
Program for the School District.
Harold had an overall zest for life. He greatly enjoyed traveling and was fortunate
enough to have experienced various travels with his favorite spot being London,
England. He also was a local sports enthusiast who was a season ticket holder of
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 32 years.
Per Harold's wishes, no formal services are to be held. However, a Celebration of
his life will be held with a private family gathering at a later date. The family
request in lieu of flowers donations please be made to the Humane Society of
