

Helen Louise Brown, born in Clearwater November 13, 1929, to Ruby Mock Calhoun and Samuel Eguine Calhoun, died June 23, 2026. She graduated from Clearwater High School and later attended St Petersburg College, then transferred to the University of South Florida to complete her degree in music.
She lived her life in Tarpon Springs, where she was the community piano teacher and local organist. Upon retiring from teaching, she volunteered in various organizations, her favorite of which was the library. After several years of volunteering, she became a part time employee of the Tarpon Spring Public Library, where she worked happily for many years. She is survived by her grandchildren Chuck, Kim Autumn and Frank, her daughter-in-law Cindy, Sisters Patti and Judi, Niece Vickie and nephew Jeff as well as good friends Sal, Terri and Tammy. She was pre deceased by her children Mark and Karen, her sister Glenda and her nephew Dave. Helen was much loved by all her family and friends and will be truly missed by us all. She will also be remembered in Tarpon Springs for her award winning gardens and flowers on Riverside Drive. There will be no services. If you wish the honor Helen, the family suggests considering a donation the Tarpon Springs Public Library in her name.
