A Savannah, Georgia native, she graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1947. She worked at Southern Bell Telephone Co. and then married on May 31, 1952.
She volunteered for Our Lady Mission Church in Darien, Georgia, and was a member of the daughters of Ireland. She was also a member of the Irish Heritage Society St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.
Helen and her husband traveled to Ireland several times for pleasure and to bring care packages for Hospice Ireland.
She is predeceased by her husband John Sr. and is survived by her daughter Helen (Shawn), son John Jr., granddaughter Lindsey, and many other “extended family” members.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 11, 2025, with services to follow at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
