Herbert E. Shanebeck passed away at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Florida on July 24, 2015. He was born on September 12, 1925, and a native of Woodburn, Indiana. He moved to Clearwater in 1972, was a retired teacher of Pinellas County Schools, an avid reader, and had traveled extensively. Survivors include, devoted companion Jocelyn McGahan, sisters Eleanor (Harold) Zook, Leo, IN, and Lenore (Wayne) Dancer, Leo, IN, and eleven nephews and niece's. He was predeceased by his parents, Ezra and Elsie Shanebeck and his sister, Mary (Ted) Unsicker. In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
