

He was born May 13, 1923, in Philadelphia to Mary Constance and Frank Patrick Clark. He graduated from Tredyffrin-Easttown High School in 1941 and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After the war, he graduated with an Engineering Degree from Drexel Institute of Technology. He was a registered engineer in Pennsylvania and Florida, and worked for 36 years for Johnson Matthey Ltd, a precious metals company. He was a member of Espiritu Santo Roman Catholic Church, Safety Harbor, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera Adelberger Clark, and their seven children: James (Marianne), of Lafayette, CO; Kathleen Connor (James) of Virginia; Stephen (Lynn), of Manasquan, NJ; Frank (Donna) of Mechanicsburg, PA; Dennis (Lori), of Naugatuck, CT; Dorothy Stanfel (Larry) of Littleton, CO: Michael (Pat), of Naples, FL; 18 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Mary Magness, and a brother, Joseph.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Regency Oaks, 2720 Regency Oaks Blvd, Clearwater, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Berwyn, PA at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, FL 33760.
