James(Jim) Duren was born in Wisconsin and had two older brothers. He married his college sweetheart, Sue, (deceased), and is succeeded by one daughter, and one son. He was a proud grandfather of three grandchildren. He was blessed with one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews who are all much loved.
Jim worked as a civil engineer after graduating from University of Michigan and retired after many years of service. He worked on the Tampa International Airport and the design of several power plants throughout the country.
He will be missed and long remembered for his gracious and quiet spirit, his strength, and unfailing love and loyalty to his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
A memorial service will be held on May 8 at 11:30 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Florida.
