Your loved one will always be as close as a memory. Jim will never be forgotten.

I am glad I receive this update. It helps me remember what a good man Jim was & what a good friend he was.

I knew Jim over 50 years ago. We roomed together for a couple of years. He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I considered him a good friend. 

He and Janie were married & they certainly appeared to be a perfect fit for each other. Very nice folks that I will always remember!

Jim & I roomed together for about a year when living in Davenport Iowa approx. 50 years ago. Very nice man & fun loving good person. 

I believe he married a very nice young lady named Janie.

Jim went to be with Jesus on January 27, 2021.  He was born in Carroll, Iowa to Lavern and Elvera Paulson.
Jim was a proud Marine Veteran serving in Vietnam and had great pride for our Country.  He moved from Davenport, Iowa to Tampa, Florida to get out of the cold weather!  Jim loved  family and his friends and has left us with so many wonderful memories.    Jim enjoyed life and his passions were boating, salt water fishing, cars, especially his Corvette Z06 and his Ford F250 Super Duty.  Jim enjoyed playing golf with his friends.  Jim loved sports and liked to watch NASCAR racing, Tampa Buccaneers, Rays baseball and golf.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Paulson.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janie; his sister-in-law, Shirley Paulson; his nephew, Timothy Paulson (Gayle) and their children, Kaitlyn and Tyler; and his niece, Natalie Bartley and her two children, Alex and Kelsey.   
Thank you to all our friends for their support during these past few months.  
We miss you, Jim!  Be at peace with Jesus.  



I cherish the memories of cousin, Jim, and his family. We had such fun times when the Paulsons would get together for the annual PAULSON REUNION in IOWA as well as for numerous other family gatherings. There are now nearly 1,000 descendants of Jurgen & Anna Paulson who came to America in 1871. Jim was of the 4th generation which now has eight generations in this family.
Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.
