James Sestito

Born on August 16, 1931 in Empire, Ohio to the late Assunta (Barbara)and Guiseppe Sestito, he is survived by his son Jim (Lori) Sestito, daughter Diane Spaulding, grandchildren Jim and Amanda Sestito, Emily Spaulding, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 67 years Emily (Sherwood) Sestito who passed on June 8, 2021.

He is also predeceased by his sisters Constantina Sestito, Giovannina Cantini, Christine Lamantia, Martha Parsons, brother Ralph Pavia, and son-in- law George Spaulding.

Jim was a U.S. Marine and served in the Korean War. He was a talented glazier working in the glass industry for most of his life and retired to Clearwater, Florida 31 years ago from Toronto, Ohio.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, who enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and time with family.

He was a life-long Catholic. A private service will be held, followed by interment with military honors at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL.
