Jean E. Fuller fell asleep in Jesus on June 21, 2014 after a short illness, she was 86 years old. Born to Howard R. and Carrie E. (Arthur) Hallock in Meriden, CT, she was raised in Wallingford, CT. After she married Lawrence E. Fuller in 1946, they resided in the Waterville and Oakland area of Maine until moving to Clearwater, FL in 1956, where they resided until they moved to Dowling Park, FL in 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Karen Koetje. She leaves behind her husband Lawrence of nearly 68 years, daughter Sylvia Walker and son-in-law Rollo of Martin, GA, son David Fuller of Cross City, FL, daughter Laureen Fuller-Millett and son-in-law Hank of Saftey Harbor, FL, daughter Pamela Fuller of Clearwater, FL, and son-in-law Daune Koetje. She also leaves 8 grand children, 16 great-grand children, and another one on the way, as well as a sister Eleanor Sherwood of Wallingford, CT, a sister-in-law Lilly Shuman of Dowling Park, FL, many, many nieces and nephews, and dear friend June Houston of Dowling Park, FL who might as well have been a sister. She was a life-long member of the Advent Christian Denomination, being actively involved in her local churches in Wallingford, CT, Waterville, ME, Clearwater, FL, and Dowling Park, FL. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, was a Deaconess, and served on the board in the Clearwater church. She was proud to be a homemaker caring for her family. She also enjoyed being involved with organizations where she could volunteer her time, including the Florida Flywheelers, and New Frontiers Health Force, as well as sewing groups at Dowling Park. Jean, said “anything you do, do it to the best of your ability.” She always wanted to do everything perfect, and just so. She made friends easily, and those that she met were never strangers for very long. She genuinely loved people, and always gave each the benefit of the doubt, if in question. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting, visiting with friends, or spending evenings working on puzzles with her sister in law. She meant so much, to so many, she will be dearly missed. Her family and friends take comfort in the following verses knowing that at the second return of our Lord and Savior, that she will rise to meet Him in the air, and always be with her Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. Jean always said “flowers are beautiful, but they die.” In lieu of flowers the family request that you consider making a donation the Advent Christian Village in Jean’s honor. Donations may be mailed to: Advent Christian Village PO Box 4305 Dowling Park, FL 32064
