Jeremiah Allen Pretto was born on April 28, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to parents Eric Pretto and Ashley Horn. He weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces. He was a mild-tempered child as a toddler, some say he had an old soul.
He attended primary school at Success Academy until he graduated and began attending P.S. 28 in the Bronx. He attended Oak Grove Middle School, Pinellas Park High School, and Alcovy High School. He was a good student whom all the teachers loved.
Jeremiah was an avid sportsman with a passion for basketball. He played basketball for the Golden Knights and made the all-star baseball team for the Largo little league. He played junior varsity at Alcovy High School and played basketball for Turner Job Corps in Albany, GA. He enjoyed video games and writing music. He was a lover at heart and a good lyricist. He had a passion for music and wanted to pursue publishing an album.
Jeremiah was the kind of person who was slow to take and quick to give. He had a shepherd's heart, a warrior in his own right, and was taken from us too soon.
He is preceded by his father Eric Pretto. Survivors include his mother Ashley Horn, brother Camden Horn, sister Kaylen Horn, grandparents Hattie and Paul Pretto, Curtis Horn and Tonya Woodard, aunts Kim Speights, Shante Williams, Tiana Horn and Andraea Rivers, and uncles Marreese Speights, Jaren Williams, and LaQuan Jordan, and a host of loved ones.
