

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Jerry was the son of the late Don and Mary Stout. He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep appreciation for family, friends, and the experiences that brought people together.
Jerry proudly served his country as a combat veteran with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. His courage and sacrifice were recognized with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, honors that reflected his extraordinary commitment and bravery in service to his nation.
Following his military service, Jerry built a successful career in sales and as a General Manager in the construction materials industry. He was respected by colleagues and customers alike for his strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to build lasting relationships.
Outside of work, Jerry embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed traveling, attending sporting events, and experiencing live concerts. Whether cheering on a favorite team, exploring a new destination, or sharing music with friends and family, he found joy in creating memories and making meaningful connections with those around him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Stout.
He is survived by his children, Jackie Stout and John Stout (Mandy Stout); his brothers, Gene Stout, Mike Stout, and Randy Stout; and his beloved grandchildren, Celeste Stout and Noah Stout. He will also be remembered by extended family members, friends, fellow veterans, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit.
Jerry's legacy of courage, perseverance, and love for family will continue to inspire those who knew him. His memory will be cherished and carried forward by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
A service honoring Jerry's life and military service will be held on June 5, 2026, at Bay Pines VA Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
