John Addison Moyer

John Addison Moyer, M.D., 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 14, 2026 at his home in Clearwater, FL. John was born on August 2, 1929 to Florence (Sterner) and Howard Rollin Moyer in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where he earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees. He was quite musical, playing instruments such as the trumpet and piano to earn his way through college and medical school. John then served in both the Navy at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in Irvine, CA, and the Air Force at Tyndall Air Force Base in Bay County, FL, where in the latter he left the service as a Lt. Colonel to return to his medical practice. He touched many lives in his general medicine practice both in Pennsylvania (Murrysville), and Florida (Clearwater). He was the beloved husband of Shirley Marsico Moyer, who passed in 2005. He is survived by his three children Amy Lisk (and husband Phillip), John Moyer, and Thomas Moyer (and wife Karen); five grandchildren (Emily Lisk, John Adam Lisk, Alyson Bowers, Ashley Marrow, and Ansley Moyer); and three great grandchildren (Cooper, Charley Kate, and Cade Marrow). He will be greatly missed.
