John Wayne Nightingale

Wayne Nightingale, age 81, of Dunedin, Florida passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. Wayne was born on January 17, 1941 in Elgin, Illinois to parents Walter Leavitt Nightingale and Deborah Wilhelmina Geisert.

Wayne and his wife Sharon started a commercial printing business in Dunedin, Florida in 1968 named Roberts Quality Printing. In 1986 the company moved to Clearwater where it currently resides.

Wayne loved his family and friends and was always surrounded by both and truly enjoyed living in Dunedin for the past 55 years.

He spent much of his free time working outside on his tractor taking care of his property. He was drawn to the beauty in the trees, plants, and animals he had at his home. He also enjoyed his summers in Blowing Rock, North Carolina at his second home in the mountains. He made lifelong friends in North Carolina and enjoyed the cooler weather and seasons, being outdoors and spending time in downtown Blowing Rock and Boone.

Wayne served his country in the Army National Guard. One of his favorite past times was hanging out with his dog Gita, a Jack Russell Terrier. Wayne also enjoyed boating, hunting, and traveling the world.

Survivors include, daughter Shani Davis (Bob); son, Kirk Nightingale (Robin); six grandchildren Brennan, Sienna, Kaley, Addison, Savannah, and Ava; and two great grandchildren Riley and Ryker. He is preceded in death by wife, Sharon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759 (727) 796-1992
