Judy Fine passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 after a hard fought 16 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born June 16, 1938 to Doris (Irish) and George Motts. As the second of four daughters growing up in the small town of Warsaw, NY in the 1940’s, Judy was the protective big sister to her young sisters Carolyn and Shirley, and best friend and confidant to her older sister Barbara. She had many friends, but family would always be the most important relationship for her.
As a mother and grandmother, Judy was always a great communicator in our family. Whether she was engaging her young children and grandchildren with conversation and stories which she did with theatrical flair, she always found ways to let her young adult children and grandchildren know how much she cared and believed in every one of them. As a psychiatric nurse she strived to help her patients (as well as her loved ones) understand problems they were going through and offered gentle guidance. Judy is the person who would always have time for a heart to heart chat and remind you that she was always praying for you.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Frank Fine; daughters Michelle (David) O’Neil, Robin (Paul) Sigler, and Rachel (Richie) Wilson; Grandchildren Alyssa (Eric) Schumann, Ian (Jody) O’Neil, Kayla Sigler, Jared Sigler, Devin O’Neil, Grant Sigler, Billie Wilson and Cash Wilson; Great-Grandchildren Evelyn, Wesley and Alanna Schumann, and Connor and Quinn O’Neil.
Judy has always been described as a beautiful lady by those that meet her, but those of us who knew and loved her saw that she was even more beautiful on the inside.
