Kathleen V Hedrich

She was born November 7 , 1920 in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edward and Harriet (Hattie Hufford Dye). Kay loved the the Lord Jesus and served him faithfully ! She was Baptist by faith and loved singing and writing poems ! She enjoyed hiking , swimming ,Christian music and loved the beaches and ocean ! She married her true love September 5 , 1946 John Carl Hedrich after he returned from World War II, they so enjoyed dancing and did everything together ! Kay had various occupations and never wanted to stop learning ! She was a cosmetologist in the 1960’s and owned the Fairlady Beauty Salon in Fairview Park ,Ohio. Then went on to get her Real Estate License, and worked for two different Builders selling New Homes ! And for Russell Realty in Fairview where she was top in sales ! They retired to Florida in 1976 and then continued on and got her Real Estate license in Florida and worked in new home sales ! During the war era she worked in factories with her sisters ! In the early 1950’s Mom and Dad worked as Foster parents in a group home for girls ages 6-16 .

Mom and Dad also loved to travel and were able to go to the Holy Lands , Paris , London and Alaska to name a few !

She had a contagious smile and a strong spirit that never ended even through her years with Dementia!

Survivors include her only Daughter Debra Sue Hedrich Flovin and Husband James Flovin (Clearwater ) , Grandchildren Tiffany Dawn Matthews (Rob) of Seminole,Fl and Brittany Kay Hill (Daniel) of Inglis ,Florida . Two beautiful Great Grandchildren, Hunter Christian Matthews and Kaydan Grace Hill as well as many Nieces and Nephews and other extended family members she loved dearly .

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband John (2015) and Sisters , Marlene Hoover, Ethel Duke, Freda Frey, Shirley Lockhart, and Carolyn Rieker , Two Brothers Joseph Dye and Clarence (Tip) Dye and 2 infant Sisters , 2 infant Brothers .

Arrangements made by Sylvan Abbey Clearwater, Private service with celebration of Kay and John will be held at a later date .
