
O’Brien, Kelly Sue 50, of Clearwater, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 23, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer with her loving husband at her side. She was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on Dec. 17, 1964. She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest “Bud” Reynolds; four siblings; Roger Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, David Heuman and Charlene (Reynolds) Bodlak. Kelly Sue is survived by her husband of nearly 24 years, Kelly J. O’Brien; Son Tyler, Daughter Erin, mother Dorothy Reynolds, and four siblings; John Heuman, Nancy (Heuman) Fisher, Bryon Reynolds, Forrest “Scott” Reynolds and numerous nieces and nephews. Anyone who knew Kelly Sue was in awe of the undaunted courage with which she faced her cancer. Her positive attitude never wavered and her beautiful smile never ceased. She worked as the Administrative Analyst for the Chief of the Clearwater Police Dept. She was a devoted wife and mother and spent most of her time supporting her children’s academic and athletic endeavors. She volunteered at Plumb Elementary, Oak Grove Middle and Clearwater High Schools and Big Brothers Big Sisters Tampa Bay. She was a board member of the Clearwater Soccer Assn., Clearwater Chargers Soccer Club, and Clearwater Little League. Her smiling face was a familiar sight at every soccer field, baseball diamond, ice rink and volleyball court from Ft. Myers to Orlando. In her spare time, Kelly Sue enjoyed the outdoors. She liked to spend time at the beach, camping, gardening, outings with “the Posse”, attending motorcycle road races and outdoor music festivals. She lived life to the fullest, cherished every precious moment and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm Friday March 6 at Cypress Meadows Community Church, 2180 N. McMullen Booth Rd., Safety Harbor
