Ken was a proud United States Air Force veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. His service was a source of quiet pride throughout his life and reflected the values he carried every day—duty, integrity, and perseverance.
Following his military service, Ken worked as an illustrator for a major historical defense contractor, where his talent, precision, and dedication were deeply valued. His work reflected both his creativity and his strong sense of responsibility.
Outside of work, Ken found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, golfing, boating, and camping, and was happiest near the water or under an open sky. These passions were not just hobbies but a way of life—simple pleasures that brought him peace and contentment.
Ken was a kind and gentle man, known for his calm presence and steady heart. He had a rare gift for finding contentment in life and often said that everything was perfect just as it was—there were no problems, only moments to appreciate. He lived without complaint, met life with quiet gratitude, and reminded those around him that peace is found in simplicity. His warmth, acceptance, and unshakable calm will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
He is survived by his daughters Barbara (Steve) and Lori (Mike), 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Bob and his wife Barbara, whom he loved deeply and missed every day.
A service honoring Ken’s life and military service will be held at Sylvan Abbey on December 29, 2025 at 11:00 am.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to one of these meaningful Florida organizations that honor his love of fishing, boating, and conservation: Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, Ocean Reef Conservation Association or Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
In keeping with his spirit, guests are welcome to wear their favorite beach attire or casual attire in celebration of his life.
