Linda Darlene McCausey

Linda Darlene McCausey, 65, of Clearwater, Florida passed away Wednesday night, March 30th, 2016 at 11:15 pm. Linda went peacefully after a short battle with Influenza A-induced Pneumonia. She was born to parents Newell Jesse McCausey and Julia Frances (Wynne) McCausey on February 22nd, 1951 in Mishawaka Indiana. Linda grew up in the Chicago area sharing her Mom's passion of helping others by volunteering for the Salvation Army. She was so proud of her Father who earned a Bronze Star while in the Army during WWII and her Mother who earned many volunteer distinctions including the Salvation Army's prestigious 'Mother of the Year' Award in 1987. It was in Chicago that Linda met her dearest friend David (Dave) Riggs. They moved together to Sarasota Florida where they lived for nearly 20 years. Linda worked at Publix loving every minute of it. While health support needs required them to move apart in June of 2014, they remained close and visited whenever possible. Passions of Linda's included her new family at the AMCAF Group Home (owned and run by Michele and Fidel Galaura), her church family at Lakeside Community Chapel, her time spent in school at The Giving Tree, coloring, jigsaw puzzles, riding her bike, listening to music (she loved Johnny Cash), going to the movies, shopping (purses, purses and more purses), eating out at BJ's Brewhouse, spending every minute she could with her brother, Jim and...HUGS. Linda is survived by brother James (Jim) and his wife Kathy; loving Guardian Diane (Gall) McCausey; niece Jennifer (Jenna) McCausey Roberts and her husband Charlie Roberts; nephews James (Jim) and his wife Jennifer and Matthew (Matt) and his wife Katie; great niece Katie; great nephews Trey and Trent; and her early life constant companion, cousin Leona Biagi. Linda was an innocent, loving, caring soul who is now reunited with her parents. While she will be missed, she left a bit of Linda behind in everyone she touched.
