Lois G. Taylor, age 86, of Dunedin, Florida peacefully passed away on March 25, 2019. She was born on August 3, 1932 in Clearwater, Florida to Virgil and Opal (Crawford) Dobson. She grew up locally and graduated in 1950 from Clearwater High School. She also attended Trevecca Nazarene College. Lois was a twenty (20) year member of Bayside Community Church in Safety Harbor, and attended Harborside Christian Church for the past 5 years.
Lois is described as a true “Lady” in demeanor, engagements and communications. She was strong in her faith, and her love for God was manifested continuously by her servant’s heart. She served in many areas of her local church, including quilting ministries, greeting, assisting in the church nursery, and preparing refreshments for the children who attended Vacation Bible School.
Lois adored children. She was a co-owner and director of Town and Country Preschool, serving the needs of children in her community.
Her love for children was persistently manifested toward her own children and grandchildren throughout their individual lives. Lois rocked babies for hours on end and had no qualms abandoning current obligations if one of her children or grandchildren needed her. They were always in the foreground, when compared to anything or anyone else. She enjoyed home cooking and prepared the best comfort food; with love being her favorite and endless ingredient.
Lois was predeceased by her loving parents, Virgil and Opal Dobson, her brother, Wayne Lavern Dobson, and her cherished Grandson, Joseph “Joe” Russo.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Haney and husband Bruce; Her daughter Jackie Taylor, and her daughter Sandra Norris and son-in-law Doug; Four Grandchildren, Dr. Taylor Clark and husband Kellan, Alex Norris and wife Heather, Andrew Norris and wife Emalee, Adam Norris and fiancé Caitlin; and 4.6 Great Grandchildren, Khloe, Anabel, AJ, Callie, and another coming soon.
Lois will be sadly missed by all, but her memories will continue to linger in the hearts and minds of those she touched. Charitable donations in her honor may be made to your local Hospice providers.
