She was married to the late Alvin Reinhard of Lowell, Wisconsin. They wed in Ayers, Massachusetts, just before Alvin was deployed for World War II duties. They were married for 52 years before Alvin’s passing on September 14, 1994.
Lorraine worked for many years as a receptionist at the former Mease Clinic in Dunedin, Florida. In retirement, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “G’ma.” She and Alvin also enjoyed many camping trips together, traveling across the country—often visiting relatives—which brought them much joy.
Lorraine is survived by her four children: Barbara Conklin, Nancy Benson, Roxann Roach, and Steven Reinhard (Michelle). She leaves behind four grandchildren: Col. Christopher Conklin (Amy), Melissa Conklin, Mercedes Olin (David), and Stirling Reinhard; and five great-grandchildren: Joshua, Caleb, and Rachel Conklin, and Connor and Nash Olin.
She is also survived by her sister, LouAnn Sekel of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings: LeRoy Schwandt, LaVern Schwandt, Lila Johnson, Lyle Schwandt, and Lois McLaren; and, her sons-in-law: Richard Conklin, Rolfe Benson, and John Roach.
