Louise Lowery Clanton

Louise Lowery Clanton, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, June 12, 2011. She was born on March 19, 1920 in Plains, GA. She was a mother, homemaker, and office assistant in her husband’s business. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dr. G. Harvey Clanton, a veterinarian who practiced in Clearwater for 35 years. She was a Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater. She has a daughter, Jane Clanton Douthwaite (Richard) of Charlotte, NC and a son, Rev. G. Harvey Clanton, Jr (Nancy) of Tallahassee, FL. Her family also includes three grandchildren: Jill Douthwaite Butler (Logan) of Atlanta, GA; Jena Douthwaite of Charlotte, NC, and John Thomas Clanton (Alison) of Birmingham, AL and three great-grandchildren: Emma Grace Clanton, Hollie Jane Butler and Casey Logan Butler. A graveside memorial service will be held at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:00AM. Donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or your local Hospice.
