Lucille M Clermont

It is with heavy hearts that we share our precious mother passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the age of 94 in Clearwater, Florida. She was born on Friday, September 21, 1928 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria Besseas of Clearwater, Florida and Rhonda Besseas Jones and her husband, Jack, of Charlottesville, Virginia, her four grandchildren, Wil Cersley of Virginia, Erik Weinacht of Florida, Ryan Jones, and Tyler Jones both of Virginia, and her four siblings, Shirley Ehrhardt, Violet Talley, Vernell Davidson, and Eddie Shiflett (Brenda) along with her many nephews and nieces.

Mom was an avid gardener, loved being outdoors, and often could be found working in her yard--mismatched gardening gloves and all--regardless of the season, no matter the weather. She loved flowers and was always planting, pruning, and transplanting flower bulbs and flowering shrubs. Mom was most proud of the yesteryear flowers, which were part of her yards' landscaping. You always knew where she had worked in the yard by following her trail of gardening tools. Whatever she stuck in the ground would take root and grow.

She was a true lover of a good bargain and visited consignment and thrift stores from coast-to-coast, a passion passed to her daughters.

Mom dearly loved all animals, especially her dear cat, Katie.

Mom was very much loved, a pillar of strength, and will be terribly missed. In keeping with her wishes, services are private.
