
Born on August 29, 1943 in Manhattan, NY, Penny lived a life filled with curiosity, love, and meaningful connections. An avid reader with a fondness for Diet Coke, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. She adored her dog, Chloe, and treasured the time she spent with family and friends. Known for her inquisitive nature, Penny loved listening to stories and learning about the lives of those around her.
To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Lala,” a name that reflected the special bond she shared with each of them. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel valued and heard.
Penny is survived by her daughters, Sabrina (Rob) LoPorcaro and Lauren (Thom) D’Angelo; her son, Craig Sanne; her grandchildren, Morgan LoPorcaro, Gianni (Will) McCaffrey, Sierra Sanne, Ethan Sanne, Mya D’Angelo, and Max D’Angelo; her loving husband, Michael; and his sons, Alex and Patrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Jason D’Angelo.
Penny was a devoted mother, but Mike would say she was an even more devoted wife. Her love, loyalty, and unwavering support for her family will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, curiosity, and deep affection that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759, on June 10, 2026, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church, 2801 Curlew Rd, Clearwater, FL 33761, on June 10, 2026, at 11:00 am.
