

Marcia Harvey, 78, of Safety Harbor, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida. Born on August 29, 1947, in Auburn, New York, Marcia was the cherished daughter of Paul and Nancy Sanders and sister to the late Richard Sanders.
Marcia married her high school sweetheart, Gary Harvey, in 1968, forming a lifelong partnership marked by love, devotion, and mutual respect. Marcia adored her five children: Molly Mann, Matthew Harvey, Rachel Harvey, Graham Harvey, and Lydia Harvey, who will remember her kindness, wisdom, and the gentle guiding hand that shaped their lives. Marcia’s legacy lives on in her six beloved grandchildren, for whom she was a source of infinite joy, warmth, and encouragement.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland, Marcia’s intellect and determination shaped a successful career in environmental and agricultural chemistry leading to many years as president of one of the largest independent laboratories in Florida where she was admired for her leadership and commitment to excellence.
Known for her compassion and generosity, Marcia was a quiet but steady supporter of Metropolitan Ministries and Doctors Without Borders. Her passions included piano, windsurfing, genealogy, world travel, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Marcia will be remembered for her loving spirit, kind heart, vast intelligence, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and community. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
