Maria C. Jensen Lindow

Maria Cleide Jensen Lindow, age 78, of Clearwater, Florida passed away in her home on Friday, February 4, 2022. Cleide was born on December 5,1943 in Ceará, Brazil to Gonçalo and Raimunda Batista de Farias. She is the youngest of 8 siblings, four of which are still living in Brazil. She is preceded in death by her previous husband; William J Jensen who passed in 1985. Cleide is survived by her husband; Gerald L. Lindow, her children; Patrick (Whitney) Jensen, W. Glenn (Michele) Jensen, Shirley (Albert) Frere and Debbie Gale, grandchildren; Austa (Alexander) Jensen Simons, Dr. Patrick J. Jensen Jr., Madison Gale, Emily Jensen, Camryn Gale, Lauren Jensen, Maya Frere, Lexi Gale, Henry Frere, and Sunny Frere.

She raised her children while keeping a beautiful home in several different countries which included Brazil, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.

Cleide loved to stay active every day. She lived a very healthy and natural lifestyle but always enjoyed the occasional glass of her favorite Merlot. She loved to walk, ride her bike, and go to the spa with her friends each day. You could always find her dancing to Samba Music at family gatherings. She especially cherished being a grandmother and the time spent with her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Vovo”.

Cleide was a devout follower of Christ, attending St. Brendan's Catholic Church since 1979 each weekday, and twice on Sundays. She was an avid lover of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Cleide always held an optimistic and positive view of life itself. During the most difficult times, she brought light to others. She embraced each day by looking outside and exclaiming, “What a gorgeous day!”

She was a dynamic ,vibrant ,fun loving and beautiful daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and grandmother. She believed in forgiveness, generosity, compassion towards others, and self-reliance.

The family is very thankful to Suncoast Hospice for their care and compassion during her final weeks.
