Marianna Hassett

Marianna Hassett,78 of Clearwater, Florida passed away October 13th, 2010 after a severe stroke. She was very active at Light of Christ Catholic Church in the Holy Family Circle, the Thursday Lunch Group and in various other capacities. She also was a long term volunteer at the St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store. Marianna was an avid bridge player and gourmet cook.

She is survived by her loving family; husband Deacon James of 56 years; son Gregg (Linda) of Acworth, Georgia, and daughters Meg Newton (Richard) of Powder Springs, Georgia and Karen McCarthy (Dennis) of Belle Glade, Florida. She is preceded in death by daughter Cathy Dickinson (Terry) of Chesapeake, Virginia. Marianna had 8 grandchildren…Matthew, Zach, Caitlin, Erin, Josh, Stephen, Ryan and Jaime. A memorial wake will be held on Friday, October 22nd from 6-8 at Moss Feaster FH, Belcher. Funeral mass will be said on Saturday October 23rd at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater at 12 noon. Interment will immediately follow at Sylvan Abbey on Sunset Point.
