Marilynn Mae Hall, born April 1, 1949 in Olney, IL, passed away Dec. 9, 2010 in Clearwater, FL. She is survived a son, Robert W. (Susan) Pyles of Clearwater; Parents, Joyce Brown of Clay City, IL and Ray (Judie) Hall of Camdenton, MO; a brother, Dennis (Kathy) Hall of Vero Beach, FL; 2 grandchildren, Robert and Julia; 2 step-brothers, Randy and Charlie; Step-sister, Kay; nieces, Sandy Hall, Jenny Hall, Roxanne Dzruban, and Glenn Reusegger. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from UNLV and a Masters degree. She was a teacher of health, business, physical education, arts & crafts and dance for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas for 20 years. She developed the curriculum for dance and was the first Clark County School District teacher to teach dance at a high school level. The following year, Clark County High School was chosen as a pilot school to implement a dance program which was later adapted district wide.
After moving to Florida, Marilynn worked as a Development Specialist for the Largo Cultural Center. For the last 6 years, Marilynn has been teaching computers at Osceola Fundamental High School. She loved her work and was devoted to her students.
However, the joy of her life was her two grandchildren, Robert and Julia, whom she loved to teach. She showered both of her grandchildren with affection and attention. Every time she traveled from home, she was sure to bring something back to them and lavish them with the details of her trip and how she found that special something for each of them. She taught Robert how to swim at an early age and loved to take him golfing. Julia took after her grandmother and Marilynn was sure to foster that prospect. From purses to shoes, lip gloss and sandals, she outfitted Julia to the hilt. She gained the most enjoyment watching her little princess regale in the reverence of modeling the outfits and accompaniments around the house.
She will be more than missed by her entire family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Osceola Fundamental High School in her name. Visitation will be Mon, Dec. 13 at the funeral home, 693 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, 2PM till service time at 3PM. Arrangements under the direction of Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clearwater, FL.
