Oh Paw! What I wouldn't give to be able to say that to you again right now.  I hope you know how much I miss you.  I hope you know how much we ALL miss you.  I miss your corny jokes, your silly rhymes, your crazy stories, and your charming demeanor; they all brought so much joy to our family and countless others.  I think everyone would agree you never met a stranger.  My heart aches every time I see your empty chair at the dinner table or I hear someone repeating one of your funny one-liners, but it brings me comfort to know that you're now happy, healthy, and carefree.  I want you to know how incredibly grateful I am for the time I got to spend with you and Granny in Georgia before you both moved down to Florida.  I will forever cherish that time we got to spend together.  I wouldn't take those memories back for anything in the world.  I know you never planned on moving out of that ole' house, but Paw, I'm so glad to have had these last few years with you.  Being able to drive down the road and hug your neck anytime I could was something I tried to never take for granted!  You are a true example of a family man and I don't think I could ever thank you enough for the legacy you created.  Oh how I wish you were still here for me to meet you "downstairs" so we could pick on each other and share our weekly updates.  I can't wait for that one glad morning when I get to see you again Paw!  Until then, I'll keep you and our memories near and dear to my heart.  I love you Paw, I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.

Pawpaw , your passing has left a huge void in my heart.  I don’t know what I will do without you now.  For the past five years we’ve been best buds.  We’ve laughed, cried and shared talks and little jokes that were “just between you and me”.  It don’t seem right not having you here .   For 35 years I’ve lovingly been called Gertrude and Flossy May.  But the last six months I’ve just been “you old softy or big old cry bag”!  But you knew I couldn’t help but cry because I knew our world would never be the same without you.   Our on going “you know I’m your favorite Daughter-in-Law”  and your reply “Naw,  and you’re the only one I’ve got; so what does that say about you?” debate all while you cracked that big old smile will never be forgotten.  Truly,   I am blessed to have had a father-in-law who loved me and treated me like a daughter.  You were a pillar of strength and a testament of the power of positivity.  I love you for “all  ways”!!

Odell was my big brother and was adored by everyone. His big blue eyes sparkled as he teased me when I was very young. He came home from serving in the army and that was a special memory of mine. We had all missed him so and it seemed like he was gone for such a long long time. I love him dearly and he has a special place is so many hearts and will always be a constant presence in our whole family. Dell, you will be missed for as long as we live and then we will meet you in Heaven. Fly free from pain my angel brother who never admitted he loved his sister Evelyn more than me. Thank you sweet brother.
