September of 1947 she married the love of her life, Joseph
Nemeth, whom she met while visiting family on vacation. In July
of 1948 they welcomed their first born. Over the next twenty
years they continued to build their family. She was blessed with
thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her family
and legacy continue to grow. Even though she led a very simple
life, her children never wanted for anything because they had love
and each other. She rooted her life in the Roman Catholic faith.
She was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church. In her
younger years she volunteered for many organizations including
the Altar Rosary Society and March of Dimes. She put her passion
in creating a wonderful home for her family. She was an excellent
cook, baker, and seamstress. Even though she had mouths to
feed, she never took shortcuts. Everything was made from
scratch. In the early years of her marriage to Joe, they made their
own root beer and strawberry wine. Marion did not stop with
her own family. She would often have friends of her children over
for dinner and fed her home-bound neighbor. She earned the
reputation of having the best fried chicken and spaghetti and
meatballs. She will dearly be missed by her family and all others
that knew and loved her. As her children, we have faith that she
will be reunited with her beloved husband, Joe, and her son,
Christopher, who predeceased her.
