Marion (Hoffman) Voltz was born in New York City on March 2, 1923 and passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Grand Villa ALF in Largo, FL at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; and grandson, Robert Wieboldt; and will be loved and missed by her daughter and main caregiver, Jeanne Hahm, (Arthur) of Largo; daughter, Jan Wieboldt, (Greg) of Ormond Beach, FL; and granddaughter, Lori Trimm, (Anthony); and great-grandson, Benjamin, of Hickory, NC; as well as her sister, Audrey Greaser, (William) of Rocky River, OH. Marion was a wonderful Mom and had a great sense of humor. She was very patriotic, and during WWII, volunteered to serve in the WAVES, and was posted to Bremerton, Washington. She was a member of WAVES alumnae, the Creative Artists Guild and Fu Sang Society of Chinese brush painters in Dunedin, FL, where she lived for many years and won prizes for her lovely paintings. Marion was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clearwater, FL and a member of the “Grace Players”. When she moved to Largo, she became a member of First Lutheran Church there. She loved acting, writing, and comedy and had a wonderful ear for accents. Marion was good at math and worked at several banks in New York and Florida. She was also very proud of getting straight A’s in Latin at Jamaica High School in New York! She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and her daughter, Jan, will miss their Scrabble marathons. A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church, 1644 Nursery Rd., Clearwater, FL on Sunday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at a later date at Bushnell National Cemetery.
