Marjorie L Brake

Marjorie was born on January 18, 1917 in Roane County, West Virginia. She was raised in Island Row, Roane County and went to a one room school house.

Marjorie was a graduate of Spencer High School and graduated from Gordon Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was employed by the Spencer State Hospital Private Clinic and was a supervisor from 1941 to 1946.

On September 10, 1946 at her Uncle Manderille Mace's home in Akron, Ohio she married Carlos E. (Bill) Brake. He has preceded her in death as well as her parents Roy and Della (Mace) Keith and sister Kathryn (Kay) Epling.

Marjorie was employed by PPG Industries Chemical Division in Barberton, Ohio as an Occupational Health Nurse for 32 years. She was a member of the American Association, Ohio Association, Akron Association and Florida Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She served as President of both the Ohio and the Akron Associations and was a Director of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Marjorie was certified by the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. in 1973. She also served as President of the Tuscora Toastmistress Club of Barberton, Ohio.

Marjorie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Clearwater, Florida.

She is survived by her brother Charles Keith of Akron, Ohio and five nephews and several great nephews and nieces.

Friends are calling on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 10 am to 11 am with Funeral Services at 11 am at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 South Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida, 33764 Ph# 727-562-2070. Burial will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
